In the early years of our independence, like many other industrial enterprises, the Ganja Textile Factory (formerly known simply as the textile factory) also went through a period of decline. The company deteriorated year by year and eventually shut down. Highly qualified specialists and workers who had been employed there for many years were forced to resign and seek jobs in other fields. As a result, the factory lost its position in Azerbaijan’s light industry sector.

However, after the national leader Heydar Aliyev returned to power for the second time, the enterprise resumed its operations thanks to the attention and support given to the development of the private sector. Modern equipment was imported from developed countries within a short period, and the training of new qualified personnel began. Extensive renovation and construction work was carried out at the enterprise, which had originally been established in 1926. These efforts quickly began to bear fruit.

Currently, the factory manufactures its products using local raw materials and equipment that has been renewed by 90 percent. Six production departments operate here. In the weaving department, gauze is produced from processed mass that goes through several technological stages. This gauze is washed, rolled under strict supervision, and then delivered to pharmacies for sale.
